September 18, 2019

The North Country Co-op members, Management Team and community gathered to celebrate the grand opening of their Home, Energy & Agro Centre.

Continuing in the Co-op tradition, North Country Co-op is investing again locally in northeastern Alberta.

“The Co-op Board of Directors is committed to improving and adding much needed services for all its members, the owners.” Robert Richard, Chair of the North Country Co-op Board of Directors commented. “Our Home, Energy & Agro Centre will do exactly that and fits well within our long-term growth strategy. The Co-op continues to strive to help build sustainable communities in our region.”

“It was very important for us to evolve to serve our Co-op Members, Guests and our local communities, which are also changing,” said Richard Lemay, General Manager of North Country Co-op. “When opportunities like this come along to expand our lines of farm and ranch supplies, agricultural products, building products including lumber and plywood, plus the addition of a line of rental equipment, we have to take them.”

“Our Petroleum Division is excited to have a home base. There will be shop space for the trucks and office space for our supervisors and drivers. We will have room to display our offering of tanks and lubricants,” said Curtis Small, the Energy, Hardware & Agro Manager. “Our Team is excited and ready for future growth and expansion.”
